Burning Gears
The first edition of the 3D game “Burning Gears” is available for gamers in February 2010. With the launch of this game Greentube will introduce a new 3D concept to the market. The game is a spectacular, real-time, multiplayer car race through Vienna’s historic city centre. Just like all of Greentube’s other games, “Burning Gears” is available to the end user free of charge.
Every gamer can put his/her skills behind the wheel to the test, as well as tune their own cars and challenge fellow drivers online to a race around Vienna’s Ring Track. Up to six gamers can play simultaneously. The track follows Ringstraße, taking gamers past the capital’s most famous sights, such as St. Stephan’s Cathedral and the city hall.
Following training in the offline mode gamers will be able to take part in a number of race weekends online. The online mode is split into two options, namely Standard and Tuning races. In Standard races drivers must take to the track without any performance-related items, while in Tuning races any items acquired may be fitted and used. In addition to the regular race weekends, gamers can strive to achieve defined ‘best times’ in the online qualification rounds – a handy way to pick up valuable experience ahead of the decisive race weekends. There is a total of five race weekends in this initial spring season.
What makes the game stand out even further is the Tuning Shop, which features for the very first time in a Greentube game. This offers gamers the chance to customize their cars and tune them to perfect performance. A wide range of aesthetic and performance-related items are available, and customisation can be carried out by any player using “Twists” and “Credits”.
