Football Challenge
Football Challenge is available for free as it is financed by advertising partners. The game allows gamers to train offline and play matches online against fellow football enthusiasts from around the world. Tournaments, with a number of rounds and ranking lists, are held every season. In the 08 season a total of three tournament rounds were held in spring, summer and autumn.
Football Challenge has several interesting features. There is a ‘friendly mode’, in which gamers can create a friends list, chat with other players and play matches against them. Using the games ‘player editor’, each gamer can create his/her own team and edit the appearance of the individual footballers. The intuitive game controls allow for gaming fun right from kick-off. In the offline mode gamers can either take on computer opponents or a friend on the same computer (using two separate sets of keys).
Due to its gaming principle and compact download size, Football Challenge is tailored for the mass market. The authentic in-game sponsoring therefore reaches key target groups of the advertising industry, covering the shifted media habits of these groups perfectly.
