Back in 2004 the first ever virtual Ski World Championship was launched by Greentube and Ski Challenge 05 was born.
Ski Challenge was Greentube´s first free 3D online game, and it provided gamers from all backgrounds the chance to test themselves as skiers. The following tracks are available: Gröden, Bormio, Wengen, Kitzbühel, Are, Val d’Isere, Beaver Creek, Whistler Mountain and Garmisch Partenkirchen.
While the gamers can train in the offline mode during the week, online races are available on the weekend. Ski Challenge features new runs, improved existing runs, enhanced usability, graphics and sound, and an optimised advertising material integration process. A video mode, better training modes and further features have also been added. The tremendous success of this game lies in the unique cross-media concept and the integration of TV content and user-generated content. Greentube´s teams are always striving to develop the game further for each new season.
