BACCARAT
Baccarat is a fascinating card game with a huge following in certain countries and regions around the world. It is believed that the game originated in Italy, where the word ‘Baccarat’ translates to ‘zero’.
In the game, two hands are dealt: the Banker hand and the Player hand. Before the cards are dealt, the gamer bets on whether the hand value of the Banker or the Player will be closer to 9. BLACK JACK
The origins of BlackJack have often been discussed, yet it is generally known that it was derived from the games Chemin De Fer and French Ferme. The aim of the game is to beat the banker’s hand without exceeding 21 points.
Once the cards have been dealt, each hand is played in order. For each hand the player can decide to receive a card by choosing to ‘hit’. If the value of the hand is below 22 and the player does not wish to receive a further card, he/she opts to ‘stick’. The value of the hand is frozen and the next hand is up. If the value of the hand exceeds 21 with the additional card, this is said to be ‘bust’ and the next hand is up.
