The 8-ball version of pool is the most famous and popular variant of billiards. The version of 8-Ball was created in 1900 from other billiard variants and was initially played with 7 yellow and red balls, as well as one black ball and white ball.
The game is played with 14 coloured, one white and one black ball. The player plays “striped” and the opponent the “solid” balls. The winner of the game is the player that pockets all his own balls followed by the black 8-ball into a designated pocket.
