Yahtzee® was invented by a wealthy Canadian couple to play aboard their yacht. In 1956, the couple approached Mr. Edwin S. Lowe, a famous toy maker. Lowe liked the game so much that he offered to buy the rights.
Yatzy is an internationally popular dice game in which 2 to 4 players play against each other. The players take it in turn to roll 5 dice and make combinations. Each player has a table for recording the results of the dice. In the upper section of the table the like dice results are entered. The lower section of the table is for particular dice combinations. You may only complete one box per turn. The player with the most points wins.
