1. Trinity Treasures™ Wukong is inspired by the Monkey King, a legendary figure in Chinese mythology. What drew Greentube to this theme, and how did you go about bringing this character to life in the game?
Given the preference of Asian themes in our industry, getting inspired by “The Journey to the West” was a well-intended choice. It gave us a rich world to draw from during the game design process, and I’m very proud of the result we were able to produce.
2. The game features an innovative 3-pot mechanic. Can you tell us how this system works and what makes it stand out compared to other bonus features?
It is our goal to introduce more games with the 3-Pot mechanic, where each pot is linked to a different feature and players can trigger one, two, or all three pots in a single spin.
For Wukong, the blue pot extends the reels feature, awarding 10 free games and adding extra rows to expand the game up to a 5×6 reel setup. The red pot also grants 10 free games whilst simultaneously removing all low-paying symbols from the grid. Finally, the green pot unlocks between 10 and 20 free games once triggered and transforms the paylines to pay in both directions.
In addition to these, players also have the chance to get a blessing from Wukong himself at the beginning of the spin, which tells the player that at least one of the pots will be won next.
3. Is there a specific element of this game that you personally like best? For example, if you had to pick just one pot to trigger, which one would it be and why?
I’m a big fan if the reel strips expand like in the blue pot feature because it opens my opportunities to win, so that’s my pick from the three pots. Let me also add Wukong’s Blessing because the increased excitement of knowing that the main character himself might bless the next spin is a lot of fun.
4. Can you talk us through your processes when it comes to designing a game like Trinity Treasures™ Wukong? Is there a tried and tested Greentube art style you try and reach with each and every game, or does it depend entirely on the game?
There is no blueprint that can be applied to every game, and that is where the art form that game design is comes into play. Marrying the desired theme with the mechanics, choosing the right art style, and the choreography of what happens on the screen for each event makes designing a game like Trinity Treasures – Wukong so exciting and fun.
5. Could you tell us more about the potential win opportunities in the game, particularly how players can trigger the 1,000x jackpot?
I strongly believe that every good game will find its audience. While some players prefer the Linked Progressive Jackpots, we see in our data that a large group would rather go after a lucrative Fixed Jackpot and with the Greentube portfolio, we aim to cater to all player styles.
So, if a player can fill all positions with the main character, Wukong, the 1,000x jackpot win will be granted, and this is a very nice addition to an already feature-rich game.

As mentioned, it’s our goal to introduce more games with the 3-Pot mechanic, where each pot is linked to a different feature and players can trigger one, two, or all three pots in a single spin.
We already started this path with Little Cluckers and 3 Fortune Wishes at the beginning of the year, and our partners and players can expect more variety with these mechanics in the next couple of months.
8. Looking past this release, what’s coming up next for Greentube?
We are going to add more games to our successful game families, such as Cash Connection, Silver Lux, or Piggy Prizes, while at the same time aiming at broadening the portfolio with new exciting mechanics for our players.
