This donation marks the second time that Greentube has contributed to the project after donating in 2020. Due to the financial repercussions of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has resulted in key local sponsors for the Phnom Penh center stopping their funding, support for the project is now more critical than ever
Through our donation, we are hopeful that they will be able to keep their education centre in Phnom Penh open in 2022 and continue their great work.
More about Kleine Herzen
Kleine Herzen is a non-profit association that wants to give disadvantaged children in Russia, Ukraine and Cambodia a better future. With the help of volunteers, sponsorships and educational projects, they work to ensure that no child is neglected. Since their founding in January 2007, they have been able to help hundreds of children attend school, participate in activities, revive their spirits and integrate into society.
Kleine Herzen supports two children’s centers in Cambodia. The children come from illiterate and low-income families. It is the wish of parents to give their children a chance at a better life. The children live in the centers during the school year and return home for Cambodia’s three most important festivals. When they are in the centers, they attend the public school, learn English, and use computers, amongst other things.
